Born December 31st in the beautiful town of Victoria, Cameroon of West Africa, singer and songwriter Ulanda grew up in a troubled but musically nurturing household with her parents, siblings, and extended family.  Growing up in her household was anything but conventional in American standards, her father a practicing polygamist and being one of the youngest of 28 children; was a man who believed in providing for family by any means. He was a hardworking and generous man but will always find a way and time to bring the family together every evening, from the time she turned 11, to sing his favorite songs.Her music can be summed up in one word: Contemporary. With the ability to use her voice as an instrument and experimenting with vocal harmonies learned through studying the art of Pop, R&B/Soul, House,Opera,Hip Hop, and Afro, her free spirited lyrics, influenced by Whitney Houston,Brandy,Celine Dion,Toni Braxton,Mariah Carey,and Beyoncé bridges the gap between many genres as a beacon to the masses, attracting a universal fan base.
