Biography

Patrick Lehman is a soul singer, producer and songwriter from Montreal. He released his last album “Butchy’s Son” in August 2016 across Canada with Pheromone/Universal. The album received critical acclaim and was nominated for a Juno award in 2016 for ‘Best Soul/R&B Recording of the Year’ category alongside the Weeknd and Alesia Cara. Traveling to Calgary to attend the awards, he was also a featured performer in Junofest 2016.

The first single “Games” from the album has been on the top 100 radio charts in Quebec for the past several months, and he has received rave reviews from Exclaim magazine, CBC Music, Stingray Music and CTV. The song reached the top 100 hot AC chart (BDS/Nielsen) across Quebec from May 2015-October 2015. It reached the top 40 songs played across the province on Hot AC radio. The follow up single “My Life Story” also saw a long life on FM radio in Quebec.

Trained in classical voice at Vanier college in Montreal and integrative jazz studies at Concordia University, he was asked, while still at school, to perform at the Montreal International Jazz Festival's 2006 Big Event, a Paul Simon Tribute, featuring Daniel Lanois, Sam Roberts, Bedouin Soundclash, Jim Cuddy, Colin James, Elvis Costello, Holly Cole, and others. The show, attended by 150,000 people in the streets of Montreal, was subsequently broadcast on Bravo, ArTV andCBC television. Patrick has also written and produced for artists abroad in Japan and Europe.

Lehman’s 3rd full-length album, “The Electric Soul Kitchen Vol. 2” followed a year later. Singles from the album have been featured on Stingray Music's Soul/R&B channel and on Quebec's leading rock station CHOM 97.7FM. The single “Come Together” was in the national top 40 rock radio chart in 2013 (HotAC/BDS/Nielsen).
