Born in the DFW, Tx area, Current Waves started out as two people with a passion for music. Jason Watkins, former drummer for bands like "In Search Of Sight" and "Third Man On The Match" has teamed up with  singer-songwriter and vocalist Bri McKay to form a sound that has been called  "commercially unique."  

Current Waves released their debut EP "Letters To You" July 10, 2018 and are already working on new material for their full length album. Some of the new songs are acoustically played during their shows. Russell H., says "...solid material and excellent presence" about the "Letters To You" EP. With an alternative pop vibe, Current Waves, blends unique melodies with emotional, raw lyrics. Bri McKay's vocals are powerful but diverse, and the world will get a taste of Jason's vocals in the next album.
