Ricky Parish started taking guitar lessons at the age of 7. By age 10, he was well versed in the basics of many styles of music. He continued to play guitar through his High School years. In 1992, he met a guitar teacher named Terry Kilgore in Pasadena. Terry introduced Ricky to the Blues. Ricky formed a rock Band called Primo, named for his Grandfather Primo Risatti who was a musician. The Band enjoyed limited success and was disbanded when Ricky moved to Tucson, Arizona. In 1999, through a chance meeting, Ricky was introduced to Blues legend John Lee Hooker. The two became friends and Ricky was asked to join Hooker and toured with him for 2 years. In June 2001, John Lee Hokker passed away suddenly. Ricky went into the studio with his local Band, The Blues Monsoon. They released their first tracks and toured throughout the western area of the U.S. In 2003, Ricky returned to california. He formed the Blues Gypsys. The Band enjoyed great success touring and performing throughout the US and overseas. In 2016, Ricky got together with famed bassist John Hatton who plays with Brian Setzer. They formed The Rockabilly Rebels. They had some success with the Band in 2017. In 2018, Ricky decided to change the Band name to Flava Quattro. This year has proven to be a great start to their musical success. He is joined by Drummer Peter Dallas and Keyboardist Marshall Thompsen. They have won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life. Performing at a variety of venues and making countless public appearances all the while recording new song versions, this talented Band has earned the admiration and affection of critics and fans alike.
