Igor Kogan is a jazz artist, bass player and bandleader from Los Angeles. He leads several bands and musical projects, varying from small groups (duo/trio/quartet) to a larger ensembles and a full orchestra.
He has performed at prestigious venues and festivals in U.S and Europe, including Jazz at Lincoln Center and Steinway Hall (NYC), Bern Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Red Sea Jazz Festival (Israel); and appeared at renowned jazz clubs Zinc, Smalls, Fat Cat (New York); Blue Whale, The Lighthouse, Vibrato, H.O.M.E. (Los Angeles).

Igor Kogan is a versatile bass player, composer, arranger and bandleader. He has performed at prestigious venues and festivals in U.S and Europe, including Jazz at Lincoln Center and Steinway Hall (NYC), Bern Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Red Sea Jazz Festival (Israel); and appeared at renowned jazz clubs Zinc, Smalls, Fat Cat (New York); Blue Whale, The Lighthouse, Vibrato, H.O.M.E. (Los Angeles) among other venues as a leader and as a sideman with Plas Johnson, Mike Price, Carl Saunders, Scott Whitfield, Gary Herbig, Jerome Jennings, Joey Morant, Valery Ponomarev, Anat Cohen to name a few.
Born in Russia and raised in Israel, Kogan moved to U.S. in 2011. After spending several years in New York, working as a performing and recording musician, he relocated to Los Angeles, where he is currently working as a bass player, composer and arranger, performing regularly with his small jazz groups and contemporary
