Biography

“Lucy, you’re like human CBD.” - JACOB MONDRY Lucy Clearwater is 21 years young and originally hails from the San Francisco Bay. I first saw the bubbly songbird on a rooftop in LA serenading a crowd of buzzed adults when she was only 18. Not many musicians, let alone acoustic ones, can hold focus like that; I was immediately enthralled. Lucy’s voice takes you on a ride like a wave, floating safely up and down on delicious melodies and a lyricism only an old soul might possess.

Her sophistication is far beyond her years, her songs are a collection of modern classics, and her infectious light will, indeed, put you in a trance.Since moving to Los Angeles in 2016, Lucy has recorded and released four singles, performed sold out shows at The Hotel Cafe and gone on three solo international tours. Lucy appeared on ABC’s American Idol in 2018, and is now in the midst of releasing her new EP “Feel Again”.Lucy grew up in a household where creativity and original thinking was encouraged. At the ripe age of four, Lucy’s mother bought her a violin and began teaching her classical music, while her musical father inspired her to song write. Around the age of twelve, Lucy entered herself into a school competition with her original song, ‘Come Back Home.’ Her self-made recording won first place in California and second in the nation, earning her a moment on stage in front of 5,000 people. “That was my first taste of being in a big spotlight and I fell in love with it and knew I needed to be doing this for the rest of my life,” Lucy says.Fit for the stage, Lucy eventually began performing in theater.

Engaging in new forms of music, Lucy started writing musicals, folk, and pop/country songs. She also quickly realized the violin was an instrument capable of a variety of sounds and to this day still hasn’t put it down.Back in 2018, Lucy fell deeply in love with fellow singer-songwriter whom she had met while competing on American Idol. Throughout the duration of their relationship, Lucy wrote her forthcoming EP, ‘Feel Again’, featuring songs about none other than him, showcasing a wildly mature range of emotions and experiences.
