Biography

Growing up surrounded by parents with terrific musical taste, Jeff Greenspan was drawn to the guitar at the ripe age of six. His father, Steve, showed him the ropes trying to get him to play lead guitar like their hero, Duane Allman, while keeping him hip to the likes of Jimi Hendrix, the Grateful Dead, and of course, The Beatles.

While classic rock and the blues surged into his soul, Jeff drifted towards the high energy punk/hard rock sound of the 90’s and 2000’s. At thirteen, he and long time friend Imad Royal formed their first band, Liquid Law. They started as a cover band and were fortunate enough to even record some songs at such a young age. Here, Jeff began writing his first songs and laying down original recordings.

After Liquid Law, Jeff came into his own with his high school band Throwing Season. Changing genres toward an acoustic rock sound, Jeff soon realized the beauty in writing his own songs. The creative freedom and the desire to write “sticky” became addictive and he began searching the inners of his mind for the perfect hook.

Jeff attended Towson University and studied Audio Engineering. Throughout school, he wrote for his solo project with the beauty of recording in the multi-million dollar studio in which he was learning.
With the decision to leave his home in Maryland, Jeff moved to Hoboken, NJ where he started working at the popular recording studio Engine Room Audio. Since the move, Jeff has worked with numerous major-label artists as a live guitarist with Matt McAndrew, Jasmin V, and Grace Mitchell and a vocalist with Gazzo including their co-written track “Say.”

Given the good fortune to work with some of the brightest minds in the music industry, Jeff took this opportunity and launched his own solo career.  Now, he can be seen playing with bands such as, Saved By the 90s and Strangers Stopping Strangers, all over the east coast.
