Jamie Leigh Green comes from a musical family, and has been playing piano and singing since childhood. As a teenager she was hired for parties as a piano player. Her first professional job in residency was at The Smuggler's Cove in Aubrey, Texas. She was attending UNT, and worked for 2 years as the house piano player/singer in the restaurant. During her early years in the Dallas area she performed in theatrical productions as a singer, actor, dancer, and served as lead vocalist/keyboard player for local bands...Hue, Bwana, and many others. After graduating from UNT she moved to Boston, Massachusetts, and peformed as a solo pianist/vocalist, and also as female lead singer for bands Saxy, The Champagne Orchestra, Top Shelf, Bits and Pieces, and many more. As an entertainer in a Dinner Theatre for 3 years in Boston she entertained many audiences from all over the world. Eventually, she started her own band SHAZAM! that became a favorite throughout New England. This musician also furthered her education by attending New England Conservatory in Boston for post graduate study. As a studio pianist and vocalist she has been on many recordings made across the country.
Ms. Green continues to mentor and teach students of piano and voice. She currently teaches at The Edelweiss School of Music in Plano, Texas, and also has a number of private students as well. She performs at private functions and in restaurants and clubs in the DFW area.
