TOPCAT is a high-powered rock band featuring Frank Simes on lead vocals and guitar (The Who, Mick Jagger, Don Henley), Jamie Hunting on bass and backing vocals (Roger Daltrey, David Lee Roth, Vince Neal), Drake Shining on keyboards and vocals (Sugaray Rayford, Deep Purple, Al Green, Etta James), and Mike Leasure on drums and backing vocals (Walter Trout, Edgar Winter).  TOPCAT is a team of well-seasoned, well-oiled, A-list players.A modern twist on the sounds of The Rolling Stones, Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Doors, T. Frank Simes – Guitar, Lead Vocals Jamie Hunting – Bass, Backing Vocals Drake Shining – Keyboards, Vocals Mike Leasure – Drums, Backing Vocals.FRANK SIMES is a Grammy-nominated and platinum-record awarded musician, guitarist, songwriter, composer, and record producer. Frank is The Who's musical director and multi-instrumentalist, was the musical director and co-writer for Don Henley, and recorded and performed with Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, Stevie Nicks, and Roger Daltrey.  Frank has composed over 1,500 musical pieces for Paramount TV, Cord Worldwide, Los Angeles Post Music, Boyd Communications, and OPM Productions, including national TV commercials, scores, and cues for TV and film.  Frank is writing a memoir of his extraordinary life playing with a long list of musical icons, as well as a book, The Big Strum Theory, which explores the connectivity of music, science, philosophy, and spirituality. Frank gives keynote speaking engagements at colleges and theaters and has been documenting his experience and research for an upcoming film project based on the book.JAMIE HUNTING A first-call session bassist for countless Phil Spector recording productions, Jamie has also toured and recorded with Roger Daltrey, David Lee Roth, Vince Neal, and Union.  Jamie is known in the music industry for his unmatched brilliance on the bass guitar. Jamie has recorded on numerous recording sessions for Frank Simes’  productions for major labels.  DRAKE SHINING A veteran musician/vocalist/producer with over forty years experience, Drake has played it all.  Having played and recorded with Deep Purple, Al Green, Etta James, and Ike Turner, Drake’s unique musical style, passion, and humor keep him at the top of many industry short lists.  When not performing with the Sugaray Rayford Band, Drake ”Munkihaid" Shining can be found collaborating on various recording and arranging projects, as well as mentoring up-and-coming artists.MIKE LEASURE toured with The Edgar Winter Band from 2005 to 2006, and played on Winter’s single Something Can Be Done, a Hurricane Katrina relief charity project.  Mike Leasure also played with Albert Collins on a series of Blues Cruises shows, and drummed for another drummer-turned-front man Buddy Miles.  Michael has has worked with guitar-phenomenon Philip Sayce for the past six years, and is currently touring with blues-rock legend Walter Trout.
